Contract review checklist: 12 areas to check before signing
Use this checklist alongside the agreement in front of you. It helps you find the right passages, record what is missing and decide which questions need an answer before you commit.
Start with the deal you think you have agreed
Write down the price, work, timetable and exit arrangement you expect. Then locate the wording that supports each point. If a promise appears only in an email, or a schedule is missing, add it to your questions instead of filling the gap with an assumption.
The checklist is free to use. It organizes your reading; it does not analyze an uploaded file. A review of your own document is a separate paid service.

Turn a concern into a question someone can answer
Fictional example
A service agreement says invoices are due after approval, but does not say who approves them or when. Instead of writing “payment clause is bad,” record the clause number, the missing deadline and the question: “Can we specify who approves the invoice and how many days they have to raise a dispute?”
Keep the original wording, your concern, the answer and the agreed change together. Recheck the final document to make sure the answer became part of the agreement.
